There was a time when I considered Uranium nuclear power generation the lesser of two evils as opposed to “Global Warming”, and advocated the deployment of the inherently much safer Nukes Family known as “Economical Simplified Boiling Water Reactor” (ESBWR) Gen III+ or better. Such a family of reactors was on the verge of being approved by Areva and GE-Hitachi independently, when Fukushima changed everything forever.
I had made that choice based on the realization that the Uranium Cartel was so deeply entrenched politically worldwide as to exclude other nuclear generating possibilities such as Thorium; Now however, the Uranium Cartel is in meltdown globally, so perhaps the time is ripe to consider THORIUM AS THE FUEL OF THE FUTURE.
