THIS JOURNAL WILL "TELL IT LIKE IT IS" REGARDING DIFFERENT FORMS OF ENERGY AND THEIR GLOBAL IMPLICATIONS/PROBLEMS

IS DRILL, BABY DRILL, THE ANSWER??…. PERHAPS FOR A WHILE

American Oil drilling companies say “Drill, baby drill” is the answer; and indeed, there is now a great deal of drilling for oil and gas, even within 50 miles of San Antonio, TX. Drillers claim new technologies will open up a huge amounts of oil and natural gas deposits.  Lets hope they succeed, because the current anti-nuke public reaction will create an “energy gap” here, and in the world. The anticipated loss of nuclear generating capacity will create a huge need to use oil, gas, coal, etc. to supply the heat needed to generate electricity.
Problem Japan has, is that in the aftermath of the on-going Fukushima tragedy, both the public and governmental will is inclined to forego Nuclear energy immediately.  That would have dramatic consequences to Japan’s industry, and to its population as well.  It is  extremely hard for them to abandon nukes, and forego the nearly 30% of the national power generating capacity they produced.  They had plans to increase it to 50%, but “Not -no more!” The Fukushima Dai No.1 plant tragedy has many years to go before it ceases to be a global problem, and a huge drain on Japan’s treasury and industry as well.

The Fukushima nuclear disaster is of such transcendence, that It has caused many nations to say “no to nuclear” and to forget “GLOBAL WARMING”.  That problem continues worse than even, and will bite almost all nations in the but sooner, rather than later.  As for CPS’ Nuclear Expansion Plans, I would say forget them for the foreseeable future.  The world no longer will accept a continued creation of toxic substances (transuranics) with nowhere to go.  We have enough of that crap already on hand(worldwide) to kill everyone.
